Dunno if you’ve heard of Mark Sayers. He covers this kind of thing a fair bit, especially in relation to the broader idea of ‘hyper-reality’ (the way we construct our own fake world based on the media, consumerism, etc) and Gen Y.

His new book, ‘The Vertical Self’, comes out next month.
